The Reflection from Critical Theory of Horkheimer

Max Horkheimer (霍克海墨), who is a prominent promoter of the term "critical theory" (批判理論) in the Frankfurt School (法蘭克福學派), played influenced shocking of mine after my reading of his analysis about what sciences and social sciences differentiated each other. What existing theories and "truths" tell you have its covert intentions hidden behind the constructions of each discourse. The truth forms as social authorities to make you deeply attached with the selfish potential intentions always are inextricable and hard to dissolve, that as social objects of us in the extensive social environment are prevailed unconsciously without doubt against the social forms you are used to accept, especially those social disadvantages in an "positive and practical way". Only in a "critical manner" standing beyond the line of social phenomena can reveal any purpose of any specific class. The most obsessed illustration of tricks are the capitalists that always pacify working class to be satisfied with exploitation pleasantly. Tracing out the social meanings and historical clues is one of the suggestions to examine the "truths" around us.

Horkheimer believed that the ills of modern society are caused by misunderstanding of reason: if people use true reason to critique their societies, they will be able to solve problems they may have.
